It’s here! It’s finally here. I am so excited. I’m going to Create & Cultivate this weekend, which is basically a 12-hour learning overdose on Saturday for creative women in the digital space, and—the best part—it’s with a bunch of people I’m low-key obsessed with. Emily Schuman from Cupcake and Cashmere (my idol and everything I aspire to be). Lauryn Evarts from The Skinny Confidential (I live for her real talk and sassy blog posts). Kendi Skeen from Kendi Everyday (a North Texas style blogger and entrepreneur who’s as in to Old Navy as I am and also is one of my personal MENTORS this weekend). The creators of SoulCycle (probably the biggest fitness/spin class cult there is, though there aren’t many I don’t think, but still), plus lots of others. The feeling I have right now is slightly more ecstatic and anxious than the feeling I have right before a new season of Vanderpump Rules starts. And now you know the kind of person I am.
Anyway, I have sort of been stressing out about what the heck I should wear to a conference packed full of beautiful women with impeccable style for, oh, about two months now. It’s really hard, guys, but I think I’m going to go with this leather pencil skirt as one piece of my getup–with less of the naughty-librarian-esque shirt-and-jack combination and something more effortlessly edgy. You know? (I’m sure writing a whole post about this contemplation comes across as really effortless already.)
